Boutique Hotels in Le Marais, Paris

Room choices, family layouts, balconies, wellness facilities and access details across Le Marais and Haut Marais.

Table of Contents

For boutique hotels in Le Marais, Paris, start with Hôtel de JoBo for theatrical Saint-Paul interiors, Le Pavillon de la Reine for Place des Vosges and family space, or Maison Proust for a literary stay with an included private spa session. Across the neighbourhood, the useful differences are often room-specific: a balcony, an opening window, separate sleeping space or the stairs inside a suite can matter more than its name.

  • Bar & loungeThe lounge is available around the clock to hotel guests. Room service runs from noon to midnight.
  • Family servicesBabysitting is available on request, alongside the hotel's reception and porter services.

Why choose it

  • The single and connecting options give the hotel more flexibility than a double-only house.
  • Late room service and the guest lounge make it useful for evenings spent partly at the hotel.

What to consider

  • Terrace-facing describes the Superior room's orientation, rather than private outdoor space.

The Superior gives two people more room to get ready than the smaller Classic, while keeping JoBo's elaborate decoration central to the stay. The lounge extends that experience beyond the bedroom.

Travelling alone? The Single is a dedicated option. For separate bedrooms, the connecting arrangement provides two queen-bedded rooms; the 35 m² Junior Suite instead has a king bed.

9Hôtel Confidentiel

  • WellnessCodage treatments take place at a nearby boutique spa. There is no private hotel car park; Pont-Marie parking is nearby.

Why choose it

  • The Executive adds space without requiring a suite.
  • Valentine makes a balcony booking specific, with two private balconies attached to that category.

What to consider

  • Extra beds aren't available. Cots are offered from Club category upwards.
  • The treatment spa is off site.

Executive is the natural starting point for a couple who values indoor space and a patio outlook. Valentine puts more emphasis on time outside, with two balconies facing the street.

Club is worth considering for its wider bed. It's also the category containing the two specifically adapted rooms, rather than a general accessibility label for the hotel.

The rooms and suites page distinguishes the outdoor-space categories.

Le Pavillon de la Reine

Place des Vosges

  • WellnessHammam, jacuzzi and fitness facilities open from 07:00 to 21:00. Deluxe includes gym and hammam access; treatments are separate.
  • ParkingFree bicycles and private parking, available 24 hours. Valet service and charging are also offered.
  • Family servicesCots can be requested from Deluxe category.

Why choose it

  • Two bedrooms and two bathrooms give a family more separation than a single room with added beds.
  • Free private parking is a practical distinction within this selection.

What to consider

  • A Deluxe booking can involve internal stairs.

This is a useful option when different members of a party need their own sleeping space. The Family Suite adds a lounge as well as two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so the family needn't spend every evening around the beds.

For a couple, Deluxe keeps the choice smaller. If you're arriving by car, compare the free parking offer separately from any valet or charging service you plan to use.

Room to book
Junior Suite.
Room options
  • Junior Suite30 m², double bed, sitting and writing areas, with a bath and/or walk-in shower.
  • De Luxe20 m², double bed, with a bath or walk-in shower.
  • Executive Suite50 m², for travellers who want a larger category.

  • WellnessThe Salon d'Eau has a ten-metre pool and steam room. The spa opens from 08:00 to 20:00 to residents and non-residents; treatments are paid separately. An included 60-minute privatisation of the Salon d'Eau.
  • BreakfastResident salons are available at any time, with breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea served. Cocktails begin at 17:00.

Why choose it

  • The Junior Suite gives sitting and writing space alongside the bedroom.
  • An included private wellness session offers a defined period with the pool and steam room to yourselves.

What to consider

  • The 60-minute privatisation is a session at the shared spa, rather than a pool attached to the bedroom or unrestricted private use.

The Belle Époque and Proust-inspired concept continues from the rooms into the salons. It makes sense for a stay with time for reading, tea or cocktails as well as the spa appointment.

Junior Suite adds somewhere to sit and write. De Luxe is the smaller bedroom choice for guests who expect to use the salons more than their own sitting area.

Hôtel du Petit Moulin

  • Bar & loungeThe guest honesty bar opens from noon to midnight.
  • WellnessThe hotel advertises a partner spa at Le Pavillon de la Reine, rather than its own on-site spa.

Why choose it

  • Christian Lacroix's room designs give the small hotel a specific visual identity.
  • The Junior Suite provides a defined three-person arrangement.

What to consider

  • The Junior Suite's stairs make it unsuitable when a step-free bedroom route is essential.

The hotel occupies a former bakery with 16 rooms and one Junior Suite.

Here, decoration is a reason to choose the hotel, rather than simply a background to the stay. Deluxe gives two guests a little more floor space than Comfort or Superior, with a king-or-twin choice.

The Junior Suite serves a different party: three people sharing a king and sofa bed. Choose it when that sleeping arrangement and its attic setting work for you.

Hôtel Jules & Jim

  • FitnessGym from 07:00 to 22:00, also open to outside users.

Why choose it

  • The courtyard HI-Macs option combines a modest room size with outdoor space.
  • The Duplex gives a third guest a separate downstairs sleeping position.

What to consider

  • The street-facing HI-Macs windows are fixed, and HI-Macs rooms have no minibar or fridge.
  • The Duplex has internal stairs.

The hotel has 23 rooms across the main building and courtyard houses, in a converted precious-metals factory.

The art-led hotel spreads its rooms between a converted factory and courtyard houses. A courtyard HI-Macs gives two guests outdoor space without moving into a suite.

Sous les Toits prioritises its outlook over indoor space. The Duplex is the alternative when a third guest matters more than a compact room with a balcony.

  • Child sofa sleeping is suite-specific, rather than an option in every room.
  • The parking arrangement is nearby, rather than a private on-site car park.

Lord R'Hoone puts the emphasis on the courtyard garden, while Joseph L'Estrange offers a street-and-roof outlook. Saint Léger Léger adds a living room with sliding separation for guests spending more time indoors.

  • A dedicated Single avoids booking a two-person room when travelling alone.

What to consider

  • The open bathrooms offer less separation than an enclosed bathroom.
  • The Suite remains a two-person room despite its larger area.

The top-floor balcony category is worth choosing for time outside and its rooftop outlook. A couple who would rather have more indoor space can consider the Suite and its claw-foot bath.

The house-style decoration, library and vaulted breakfast room give this small hotel places to linger beyond the bedroom. That matters when the room itself is compact.

  • Simply is a small single at 9–12 m².

The design uses wood, marble, glass and artwork across 31 rooms.

Wood, marble, glass and artwork give the rooms a considered house-like character. Comfy is the useful middle choice for two, including friends requesting twins.

Simply keeps a solo stay compact, while Spacy adds sitting and work areas for a three-person party. Those are different uses of the room, rather than a reason to choose the largest category automatically.

Martin Brudnizki's interiors and tapestry canopies give the rooms a strong decorative identity. Deluxe lets two adults enjoy the hotel's dining and wellness offer without choosing a suite for extra capacity.

What to consider

  • The Junior Suite's third place is for a child under 12, rather than a third adult or older teenager.
  • Baby equipment is a paid offer.

This is a Gustavian-inspired, 22-room hotel.

Gustavian-inspired decoration gives the 22-room hotel a restrained alternative to the more theatrical interiors in this selection. Its Junior Suite is worth considering for the extra shower bathroom when three family members are getting ready.

For two guests, Superior is the smaller bedroom choice. The decision is about the family's bathroom and sleeping needs, rather than the suite name alone.

XL Junior Suite is the starting point for a couple who wants both bath and shower alongside a courtyard outlook. The duplex categories instead organise their sleeping and living areas over two levels.

Choosing your part of Le Marais and your room

Saint-Paul and the southern core: JoBo, Emile, Charles V and Temple de Jeanne give you different room choices around Saint-Paul. Caron de Beaumarchais, Dupond-Smith, Duo and Grand Mazarin cover the streets around rue Vieille du Temple, rue du Temple and rue de la Verrerie. The choice runs from compact rooms to suites, with restaurant, bar and wellness facilities varying by hotel.

Place des Vosges and rue de Turenne: Pavillon de la Reine is on the square, while Les Tournelles offers its compact house-style rooms on rue de Turenne. The practical contrast is between a larger family-suite and parking offer, and clearly specified single, double and twin rooms.

Haut Marais: Proust, Petit Moulin, Jules & Jim, Suzie Blue, Experimental, La Chambre and Saintonge give the northern part of the selection several different design and family choices. 1K is specifically on the boulevard edge.

Three booking distinctions are especially useful here:

  • Outdoor space and room orientation: a terrace-facing JoBo Superior isn't a terrace room. At Jules & Jim, the HI-Macs orientation determines balcony versus fixed street window. At Grand Mazarin and Caron de Beaumarchais, balconies belong to a subset of rooms.
  • Capacity and children's ages: Charles V's third guest must be under 12; La Chambre's Corner allows a child up to 16. Bretonnerie's Family room sleeps four with a double and two singles. The large Experimental and 1K suites listed here remain for two.
  • Stairs and adapted rooms: Petit Moulin's Junior Suite and Jules & Jim's Duplex have explicit stair considerations. A lift at Suzie Blue or La Chambre doesn't provide an adapted bedroom. For a personal access requirement, agree the exact room and route, including breakfast and wellness areas.

For a room you'll enjoy spending time in, decide whether an opening window, balcony, enclosed bathroom or single-level layout matters most. A courtyard outlook alone doesn't guarantee silence.

Frequently asked questions

Which boutique hotels in Le Marais have rooms for four or five?

Pavillon de la Reine's Family Suite accommodates up to five, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bretonnerie's Family room sleeps four with one double and two singles; Duo has Junior and Duo Suites for up to four. Grand Mazarin's Parisian Junior Suite allows four adults. At La Chambre du Marais, the Parisian Suite is for two adults and two children, while the Family Suite uses two rooms across a landing.

Which hotels offer a balcony or terrace?

Look at 9Confidentiel's Valentine Suite, Dupond-Smith's Lord R'Hoone or Joseph L'Estrange, Emile's Double Room with Balcony – Top Floor, or Temple de Jeanne's Prestige Terrace. Jules & Jim's courtyard HI-Macs rooms have balconies, while the street-facing ones don't. Grand Mazarin's Junior Suite balconies are a requested, extra-cost subset; Caron de Beaumarchais also has balconies only in some front-side rooms.

Do boutique hotels in Le Marais have lifts and adapted rooms?

Some have lifts, but the exact room matters. 9Confidentiel identifies adapted Club rooms 11 and 21; Duo and Charles V each offer two adapted rooms. Suzie Blue and La Chambre have lifts but no adapted rooms, and Emile's facilities are unsuitable for wheelchair users. Petit Moulin's Junior Suite is reached only by stairs, while some Pavillon Deluxe rooms have internal levels.

Which hotels have a swimming pool?

Grand Mazarin has a heated indoor pool accessible to hotel guests. Maison Proust includes a 60-minute privatisation of its shared Salon d'Eau, with a ten-metre pool and steam room. Experimental's Roman bath is a different wellness facility.

Is breakfast included?

It depends on the offer. Emile promotes free breakfast specifically for direct bookings. Elsewhere, breakfast being served doesn't make it part of every room tariff. Compare the meal terms for the room and guests you are actually reserving, including child conditions where relevant.

Is a suite always better for a family?

No. The 58 m² Suite at Experimental and both duplex categories at 1K remain two-person choices. Use a room's stated guest capacity and bed arrangement: for example, Bretonnerie's Family room for four, Pavillon's Family Suite for up to five, or Charles V's Junior Suite for two adults and a child under 12.
